Tests the concentration of microbes and particles in air supply ducts, fan coil surfaces and indoor air in central air conditioning systems in two large public buildings in Harbin. The analysis results indicate that the treating efficiency of the air conditioning systems to bacteria is the highest (739%), while that to particles with the diameters of 05 to 2 μm is the lowest (244%), and that there is fungal growth on surfaces of ducts and equipment which can transfer into indoor air. Suggests that it is necessary to enhance the efficiency of filters properly, to add treating devices for microbes and to strengthen the maintenance and cleaning of air supply systems.
